Land Clearing in Jacksonville, FL.
From a single Jacksonville house lot prepping for a pool to a 50-acre development tract in St. Johns County getting ready for a subdivision — land clearing is where Brother's brings out the full equipment lineup. Skid steers, forestry mulchers, grapple trucks, chainsaw crews, and dozer support when needed.
Brother's Tree & Land Clearing handles land clearing of every scale across Jacksonville, Orange Park, Middleburg, Fleming Island, St. Augustine, Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, Fernandina Beach, Yulee, Callahan and the surrounding NE Florida region. From single residential lots all the way up to multi-acre commercial and agricultural sites, we have the equipment and the experience.
Florida growth means more land getting cleared. Northeast Florida is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country — Nocatee, Fleming Island, the World Golf Village corridor, and the Yulee/Amelia Island area are seeing constant new construction. We work with builders, developers, surveyors, and individual landowners to clear properties efficiently and according to plan.
Every clearing job starts with a property walk and a written plan: what's coming down, what's being preserved, what happens to the material (mulched in place, hauled off, or stacked for the landowner's use), and what condition the site needs to be in when we leave (stumped, graded, ready for build).
From Single Lots To Multi-Acre.
We've cleared everything from quarter-acre house lots to 20+ acre development tracts. The approach changes with scale, but the standard doesn't.
On every job: walk the property with you, plan the clearing in writing, work efficiently, and leave the site exactly the way you wanted it.

How We Get It Done.
Property Walk & Written Plan
We walk the entire site with you, mark any trees to preserve, identify property boundaries, and write up a clear scope: what's clearing, what's being mulched vs. hauled, and what the finished site will look like.
Permits & Coordination
Some jurisdictions in NE Florida require land clearing permits, especially for parcels over 1 acre or with certain protected trees. We help identify what's needed and can pull permits where appropriate. We coordinate with surveyors and builders if applicable.
Equipment Mobilization
Depending on scale: skid steer with forestry mulcher for selective brush clearing, dozer support for major timber and grading, grapple truck for haul-off, chainsaw crews for specimen trees.
Clearing in Phases
Large jobs run in phases — first pass takes the major timber, second pass cleans up underbrush, third pass handles stumps and final grading. Smaller jobs happen in a single push.
Stumping & Site Prep
If the site is going to be built on, stumps come out (not just ground). If it's becoming pasture or trail, mulched stumps in place are fine. We finish with rough grading if needed.
Final Walk & Sign-Off
Final walk-through with you (or your builder/surveyor) to confirm the site is exactly as planned.
From Acreage To Build Pad.
Single lot to 20+ acres — we clear, mulch, stump, and grade as one coordinated job.
Every Job Comes With.
What Affects Your Price.
No two jobs are exactly alike — here are the main things that move the number up or down on a written quote.
Acreage
Per-acre pricing for medium-large jobs; flat pricing for small residential lots.
Density & Tree Size
Open pasture with scattered trees clears fast. Dense woods with mature timber takes much longer.
Disposal Method
Mulched in place is cheapest. Hauled off (multi-load grapple truck) adds cost. Burn piles (where permitted) are middle ground.
Stumping Required
Mulched-in-place stumps are free. Pulled stumps (for build sites) add cost — depends on count, size, and root system.
Grading After
Standard clearing leaves rough ground. Final grading and pad-prep is an additional service.
Permits & Access
Permit pulling, surveying coordination, gate access, and long driveways factor in.
